How the Therapist Works?

The Therapist feels the craniosacral pulse everywhere in the body (like you feel the blood pulse), particularly at the cranial bones. He works with the hands through the sense of touch. He receive the movements or non-movements of the body, specially of the seven headbones, and so gets all the informations he needs for the work.

Different kinds of parameter and inspected such as:

  • amplitude
  • frequency
  • symmetry
  • quality

of the pulse. The therapist get an imagination of the patient physical conditions and emotional connections.

Gentle techniques are being used, which in case of blockades and irregularities in the system have the goal to guarantee the mechanical movement of the different parts of the craniosacral system.

At the beginning of each session, the patients lies down on the treatment bed and just relaxes (not necessary to put out any clothes - only shoes).

The therapist then checks different parts of the body on the resonance to the craniosacral rhythm. For that purpose the therapist puts his hands gently on appointed parts of the body, especially on the cranial bones and the sacrum, because here the movement can be felt most easily.

To be able to feel your own movement of the craniosacral system, it is vital you have a very good sensibility and you need a lot of traning with any kinds of human beings or animals.

Because of the differentiated perception, the treatment steps are tightened.

Sometimes special techniques are useful:
So called "Unwinding" - method, where the patient moves his own body in order to disentangle himself or SomatoEmotionalRelease Technique.
